According to a top US official, the Joe Biden administration will finish allocating 80 million doses of COVID-19 that it had pledged to ship abroad in the coming few days, with shipments going out as soon as the countries are ready to receive them.

He further said that the number of coronavirus cases and deaths in the country are down by over 90% since late January and are at their lowest level since the pandemic started wreaking havoc. Though he also cautioned that Delta variant of COVID-19, which was first identified in India and was recently declared as variant of concern by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is infecting people in the US.
On the other hand, Rochelle Walensky, CDC director said her agency will present details on Friday regarding over 300 confirmed cases of heart inflammation those were reported among the more than 20 million young adults and adolescents administered with COVID-19 vaccines.
