Italian Government enacts civil protection measures against Coronavirus

Italy, a flamboyant and a scenic country in Europe. The most unique tourist destination and a splendid combination of modern and ancient culture. It has places like Milan, Naples, Florence and the most famous, Rome which has the Coliseum. Tourist visit Italy for a divine travel experience. But this home, to the Vatican City has been affected by the deadly coronavirus recently. The outbreak of this virus has resulted in many deaths and the people affected, are going through a tough time both physically and mentally.

Ten people have died so far and around 320 people are affected by the virus, this number has increased from around 220 gradually. In Europe, Italy has the most Covid-19 positive cases which is a serious concern for the Italian Government as it has already started taking precautionary measures to curb the virus from spreading further.

The Italian Government has ordered to quarantine the towns located at the southeast of Milan. These are ten small towns namely San Fiorano, Castiglione d’Adda, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo, Bertonico, Somaglia, Fombeo, Maleo, Codogno and Casalpusterlengo in Lombardy which have been quarantined. One town in the south of Vincenza has also been quarantined. The Italian Government has left no stone unturned to protect their people as it has also cancelled social events like the inauguration of museums, other cultural institutions and meetings in public places. This action has been taken in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Pimonte as a part of the civil protection measures.

People as tourists have a general anxiety in such cases of epidemics or pandemics therefore the revenue generated through tourism will certainly get affected by this incident.
